Festival Week Kicks off May 18!

Festival week kicks off Monday, May 18! Traditionally, Cathedral residents gather and parade down Elphinstone St to Les Sherman Park for a grand picnic. Unfortunately, due to the current world situation, we will not be able to gather en masse. This is no reason we can’t still have a parade!

How can you be a part of this? Put on your costumes and dancing shoes, get out your instruments and build your cardboard floats. Video yourself, your pets and family in your immediate home.

Ensure you are following all public safety recommendations in regard to distancing. Still photos work too! Upload your personal parade and we will edit them all together into a kaleidoscope mash-up video airing online kick off day!

Creative juices sluggish? Been stuck inside too long? Need some inspiration? Check out #rtevirtualparade on Twitter to see how our friends in Ireland did it for their St. Patty’s Day Parade. https://twitter.com/hashtag/rtevirtualparade?lang=en
Let’s all show Regina and the world what an amazing place the Cathedral neighbourhood is to live!
All entries received will be entered into a draw for a 2020 CVAF Kaleidoscope t-shirt! Categories for children/youth, adults and families! More prizes for use of Kaleidoscope theme and for people’s fav’s!
